Change can be hard—especially when it comes to software.

Tips to prepare for successful document migration

While the full migration walk-through can be found in the course, here are some tips to make the process even smoother. 

1. Take time to prioritize the documents you want to migrate. Most Lucid users find they need to migrate less than 10% of their existing documents, so you’ll save yourself a lot of time if you prioritize documents before transferring anything. 

2. Create a folder on your desktop to store the documents you want to transfer in one place. If you plan to import Mural boards via PDFs, organizing your documents makes the migration quicker and easier. 

3. Import up to 10 documents from your folder at the same time. Speed up your transfer by selecting multiple documents.

Looking for a different method of importing your documents? You can copy and paste your Mural boards to Lucidspark. Select content on a Mural board by clicking the Shift button + dragging over content with your mouse or use CTRL+A (on PC) or CMD+A (on Mac). Copy the content and paste it into a new Lucidspark board.

Kick-starting in Lucidspark

Now that you know how to transfer your documents, check out some shortcuts you can use in Lucidspark. 

• Duplicate objects: Click option/Alt and drag the object’s copy from the original.

• Match the size of objects: Highlight the objects and right-click on the object you want the other shapes to match. Then select “Match size.”

• Clean up and align objects: Highlight the objects you want to align and click the “Quick cleanup” icon in the toolbar that appears.
