What is the smart heat gauge template?
This template is a smart template: As you insert sticky notes onto the heat gauge, the contents of the sticky notes will appear along the right side of the heat gauge. The contents can then be easily transferred anywhere you’d like—from documents to meeting notes.
The smart heat gauge template can be used for any number of purposes. It’s especially useful for assigning group projects or gauging the interest in a particular topic. For instance, if you’re pitching a campaign idea to the team, the smart heat gauge template is a fast way of seeing how well the campaign idea lands—green means go, red means nope, and the spectrum between gathers everything in the middle.
Benefits of using the smart heat gauge template
Stickies are a fast, interactive way of gathering reactions and ideas from a team. The downside is that they’re difficult to export into groups. However, this template quickly pulls out the information from each section of the heat gauge for easy access to results. This helps your team make decisions quickly and confidently.
How to use the smart heat gauge template in Lucidspark
- Start by setting a specific goal: How will you use this smart template? What information are you hoping to learn? What will you do with the information you gain from the template?
- Next, insert sticky notes as a team into the heat gauge. Watch as the content appears to the right as you input words into your sticky notes!
- Consider using the smart heat gauge as a team to quickly determine interest in a topic, map current and future states, or take a poll. Encourage the use of Collaborator Colors to keep attribution to collaborators and incorporate the timer to add a bit of helpful pressure during brainstorms.
