Build successful meetings with a facilitator agenda

For a meeting to be successful, it should have a facilitator. And the facilitator needs to have a clear idea of how the meeting should go. That’s where our facilitator agenda template comes in.

The facilitator agenda template provides the framework to outline a detailed agenda for a meeting or any kind of facilitation session. It also provides examples of activities and exercises you may include in your meeting, giving you plenty of ideas to flesh out your agenda. Whether you’re an experienced facilitator or planning the first meeting under your leadership, you’ll have the tools to design a successful session.

Use the facilitator agenda template in Lucidspark

The template includes various sizes of blocks corresponding to the timespan you might choose to spend on a given activity. You can label the blocks and specify the amount of time you wish to spend on it as shown in the examples, then arrange them into the order you wish for your meeting.

To customize your template and create your specific meeting, start with the "General Time Boxes" column. This column is an example of a blank agenda, while the columns "Admin Set Up and Closure," "Diverge Activities," and "Converge Activities" are examples of different activities you can include in an agenda.

After brainstorming, go to the section below labeled “Your turn.” You can drag and drop or copy and paste blocks to build your agenda here. To re-label your blocks, simply click on them and start typing.

After you’ve built the agenda for your meeting, you can easily share it with other participants so they’ll know what to expect. You can also invite feedback and collaborate on your meeting structure with other team members in real time.

If you need to determine what the goals of your meeting are and work out what resources you will need, you can also use the facilitator's guide template to plan out further details.
