How to use the 6:1 idea tool template in Lucidspark

Here’s a step-by-step guide to getting started with our 6:1 idea tool template in Lucidspark:

  1. Prep for your meeting by copying this template and making enough templates for each team member to have their own. Use Breakout Boards to give each participant space to complete the exercise, and assign each participant a Collaborator Color.
  2. Fill out your own template, placing your corresponding answers in the boxes. Use a timer to keep participants from getting stuck on any one category. In your boxes, include the idea that won’t go away, the simplest or easiest idea, the biggest idea, the worst idea, the idea that breaks the rules, and the craziest idea.
  3. In groups of two, share what you put in each box.
  4. Individually, come to a final idea by combining the best elements from your ideas.
  5. Once you’ve reached a consensus about which ideas to pursue, create action items with your team to follow up on later.
