How to brainstorm ideas with our mind map creator

  1. Add your central theme or idea to the center of your mind map

Drag a single shape onto your board and label it using your central idea. Or, get started quickly with our easy-to-use mind map template.

  2. Add parent branches from your central idea to represent key subtopics within your mind map

Divide your central topic into 3 to 5 main subtopics. Double-click to easily add shapes to your board, then drag a line from your subtopic to your central theme to connect them.

  3. Add child branches to flesh out subtopics with more specific items

Your child branches will explore each subtopic more in depth. Add lines to each parent branch and label them with key words or phrases to keep your design simple and effective.

  4. Add colors, doodles, or images to help you retain and organize info

Apply colors to different shapes and branches to differentiate between subtopics. You can also add images to provide context for certain ideas and customize your mind map further.

  5. Invite others to collaborate on your mind map in Lucidspark

Uncover new ideas by inviting others to add to your mind map. Easily share your mind map and give collaborators custom permissions to review, comment on, and add to your map.

A demo of a sample Lucidspark brainstorming board is shown, with lots of active participation from the four participants across the entire board. Next, a rapid series of close ups demonstrating some Lucidspark features: Writing on a sticky note, drawing a circle around an idea, starting a 30-second timer, crossing an item off an agenda, adding emoji reactions to a sticky note, and sharing a board with collaborators in the share settings. The video then continues to demo features in line with the narrator's audio for the remainder of the video. The video ends with the Lucidspark logo and tagline Where ideas ignite.
